Nothing is as hot as Lady GaGa right now. Except maybe EZasset.com. Her new duet with Beyonce is ridiculous. Ri-Di-Cu-Lous
But apart from all the hype, weird behavior and drama. There are some smart business lessons to be learned from Lady GaGa.
1.Know Who You Are
There is no question that Lady GaGa is unique. And instead of conforming to society; she embraces herself. Every great leader, and confident person for that matter, embraces who they are. The philosophers said it best “Know thy self.”
2. Stand Out From The Crowd
While most of us wouldn’t show up to an interview looking like this:

It is important to be rememberable. If everyone wears dark suits, wear a light one. When they zig, you zag. Wear dark brown chinos instead of khakis. Especially in interviews, if two people are equally qualified, the one that is remembered gets hired. If your confident then standing out isn’t difficult.
3. Back It Up
As simple as her lyrics are (Can’t read my, can’t read my, no you can’t read my poker face) Lady GaGa has some singing chops. Seriously. Especially towards the end of “Bad Romance” the woman has a voice.
Nothing is worse than promising and not delivering. Balance your confidence with modesty, under estimate yourself a little bit, and then wow them!
4. Have Fun
Why are so many Lady GaGa songs hits? The same reason Bo-Sox fans, and everyone else, sings “Sweet Caroline.”
It’s Fun.
When you’re having fun, you’re relaxed, confident and easy going. People want to be around someone who’s fun. Nobody wants to stay around a Debbie Downer for very long.
When you have fun at work, you enjoy your work more and people enjoy working with you.
5) Know Your Audience
Dance music is hot right now. 5 years ago: not so much. Had Lady GaGa tried to break into music before 2007, I don’t think she would have made it. Everyone was listening to a different kind of music then. If you’re applying for a job, figure out who the company is, and what they’re doing. An hour on Google, could be the difference between success and failure.

Next time “Just Dance” comes on the radio, I hope you’ll remember these five business tips, then go out and be great!
